It was a perfect weekend! I hope you had a great time during weekend too. I went to Prague (the capital of my home country) with my sister, we stayed in an amazing suite thanks to airbnb and had a weekend with a little bit of everything - lunch in a travelers' club, coffee in mamacoffee, pizza and wine on a sofa and also a cultural experience.

It's Friday morning, the sun is shinning and I am listening to soundtrack from LaLaLand on Spotify and it's set on repeat. I love all the songs so much I can't stop listening to them! I have plenty of time before I need to leave and go to work, so I hope I will be productive today and use all that time wisely.
So far I had breakfast, did some cleaning (that I planned for so looong and fortunately it's finally done) and read some new articles in online version of Forbes. I also managed to throw away papers from my table that were lying there forever and were useless. I think that thanks to the sunrays I feel more alive and fresh and happy. I really missed the sun!

Happy and Merry Monday everyone! I wonder why people say Happy and Merry only on Christmas. I think that everyday should be happy and merry, not only one day in a year. Weird. However, back to Monday!

Monday

What are your plans for this week? Do you have something special in you calendar? I am starting my week with a dentist, so I am pretty sure that will be the worst thing this week. Not that I don't like my dentist, I respect all dentists, but going to the doctors and dentists is not my favourite thing. I am alway nervous and I don't have a reason to be, but I hope that some of you understand me.
In the afternoon I am going cross country skiing and am curious what it will be like. I haven't seen my ski since 2015, I think, so it will be fun to even make a move. Or maybe it's the same as with cycling-you know what is said:  it's like riding a bicycle, once you learn how to do it, you never forget it.

Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday

Tomorrow in the morning I will do a good deed and take the shift in the cinema instead of my friend and in the evening I have a date with my dad, because I promised him a new haircut.
On Wednesday I will also go to the cinema, so just another day at work and on Thursday, finally, I will go to my favourite zumba lesson! For the first time this year. Two weeks ago, it was me who was ill and a week ago, my sister. So I took care after her, because it was me who caused she didn't feel well and skipped two zumba lessons, so I am really looking forward to go!

La La Land

And just to inform you, the whole time I am writing this post, I am listening to the best soundtrack ever. Music from La La Land. I've seen the film yesterday (again) and loved it even more than the first time! The music is amazing, I almost sang it out loud on my way home. And the film, I love it!

Going back to your life after illness is tough. I am tired more than usual, cough more often than I would like and I'm too lazy to start working out properly again.


So I'm watching one of my favourite TV series with a blond independent woman playing the main role. It's called MEN IN TREES and I've seen it so many times and still love it! The main plot is about a woman who is a successful writer and is about to get married, but on her business journey to Alaska, she found out her fiance is cheating on her with her friend, so she stayed in Alaska and starts again. And in this series are two main men, Jack and Cash. One of them is the man Marin should be with and the another one is a jerk. Yes, she unfortunately choses Jack, the jerk. So everytime I watch the show again and again, I see more positive features of Cash and more negative of Jack. My sister loves this series too so we have these discussions about Cash and Jack and she totally agree with me which makes me feel I am on the right side. Thanks to this series I also believe that writing is the way, I mean, writing is a real profession and maybe one day, who knows... and one more thing, it also shows me that its' possible to be happy in a small town in the middle of nowhere, so yes, I could live in the town I was born in and be alright.

MANDALAS

As I said, I cough more than I want, I am trying to stay calm and not move more than I have to, so I'm relaxing with colorful pencils and drawing mandalas. It's indeed relaxing and pleasant leisure time activity. While I am drawing I have time to think about everything that comes to my mind and I even think about buying a tattoo machine and learn how to tattoo. For now, it's still an idea, but who knows? If you want to know how I started to think about tattoo, it's very easy: mandalas are unique and perfect for tattoo and every person can desing his/ her own mandala, which would be perfect for me, because I can't draw. So, yes, there are many possibilities, so I can choose and if it doesn't work just move on to another one.

Do you remember when I mentioned new project that I was working on with my sister? Voila! I am glad I can present you our new blog. It's called Traveltocz and the main idea of it is to present our country to visitors and persuade them to come and visit, because our home country has a lot to offer.


Majority of visitors come to the Czech Republic to visit Prague, but we have so much more! At the beginning we want to focus on our home town and then add more and more cities, nature parks, restaurants and cafes. If you are curious and want to follow us, we'll be pleased.

Luckily, during the weekend I started to feel better! Finally! And I also decided I was alright, so I was. I spent the whole weekend on the sofa, drinking tea all day long, took some pills to lower my temperature and watched biathlon and retro films in the evening with my mom-thank you mom by the way, you were amazing! I felt like a child again. All I was capable of was lying all day and when it was really necessary I walked to the bathroom and my mom took care after me and made me tea and prepared rich onion soup and I should give it back to her and take care after her now when I feel better.
So, what lesson was I supposed to learn? I have no clue. Maybe that life is unpredictable? Or that moms are there for you forever?
The day before I was ill, I saw the new film La la land and was absolutely thrilled! Not only I love Ryan Gosling (who doesn't, right?), but also Ema Stone is perfect and together with the music, dancing and singing it is an amazing experience!

So that is for the last week. Not very new and exciting things hapenned in my life, but the bright side of this all is that I feel fine.

3650 sounds like a huge number, right? Well, on New Year's Day I had an idea, Out of blue, just like that it came on my mind. I like working out, I really do, but some days I just don't feel that it's a good time and I can think about million exuses why today is not a good day and if I skip few days in a row, it's hard to get back on the road. Do you know what I mean?
However, this year it is, and it will be, different. I do 10 squats a day, everyday, no excuses. I know that if I skip only one day I will have to do 20 squats the next day and trust me, 10 squats per day is not that difficult (I'm 100% sure it's better than 20) and you can do them practically anywhere. So, if you want to challenge yourself and do something good for your body, join me. So far I did 90 squats and it's becoming a normal part of my day, so very soon it will a routine and I will be able to add another exercise.

(Haha, sometimes I just switch on the Blogilates app on my phone and read through all of this motivational quotes to just simply find motivation and reason for working out, tell me I'm not the only one!)

It's Sunday night and I'm lying in my bed, exhausted after this weekend. I went to work on Friday, for 9 hours, that felt like eternity, and also on Saturday morning, so I was looking forward to Sunday, to have some sleep, however, I woke up early and went to our local sports hall to play bedminton with my dad. It was fun and I really loved it, but now I feel I need to get some proper sleep.
The weekend was great! On Saturday evening we went to a restaurant with my girls to celebrate my big sister's birthday and after dinner mom and sister went to the cinema to see a live broadcast from NY Metropolitan Opera (I gave them the tickets as a Christmas present and I'm glad they both loved it!)
And today, on Sunday, I went to play a bedminton, when I came home I prepared lunch for my girls, then we had a traditional coffee time and after that I worked with my sis on our new project. I don't want to give away much infomation about our plans, but I hope I will be able to share everything about it soon! I think you will like it! It's something very special, new, original and usefull! So fingers crossed and bye for now!

In November, me and my sister visited Brno and I wanted to write a blog post about this trip for so long, but you know how it goes....but finally, here I am, ready to write and share my experiences with you! We stayed in Brno 3 and a half day and 2 nights and we took our staying mainly as a relaxing ladies weekend out of our ordinary life.

Brno - basic info

Brno is the second largest city in the Czech Republic (both area and population), is situated in the South Moravia and has hundrends of beautiful historical sights. Also, one very interesting legend is connected to Brno - have you ever heard of the Brno Dragon? It is said there lived a monster that terorized the whole city and the citizens who didn't know this beast, because they had never seen it before, simply called it dragon. Well, it wasn't exactly the dragon... it was a crocodile and now you can see his preserved body displayed at the entrance of the Old Town Hall.

Day number one - lunchtime, teahouse and no rush

We came on Thursday afternoon, found our place we booked ahead on airbnb, left all our luggage there and went straight away into the city centre to have some lunch and we found just the right spot! It was called Výtopna and the special thing about this restaurant is that your drink are brought to you by a little train that connects the whole place! It was so lovely and I was enjoying my view on the little train models the whole time we stayed there. After lunch we continued with exploring the city and found a small and cosy teahouse and immediately came inside, took a seat and had a tea and a hookah. When I was younger I went to teahouse so often, I tasted every single hookah tobacco they had, but these days I do not smoke hookad so often, I smoke hookah very rarely and that is one of the reasons we ordered one - we had a relaxing weekend ahead of us and wanted to do things we do not normally do. We spent there 2 or 3 hours and then we did some food shopping and went to our lovely apartment where we prepared something to eat and watched a film.
The apartment we stayed in was incredibly beautiful I wanted to stay forever and live there.

Day 2 - castle, lunch, the two best bars ever

On Friday morning we woke up later than usual and had a lazy morning, cooked a brunch and went exploring the city in the afternoon. The weather was awful: windy and foggy all day long. We walked along the local castle Špilberk, took some photos, enyjoed nice view and continued to the city. I was curious and wanted to visit Vila Tugendhat which was on the other side of the city, so we crossed Brno and walked pass Tugendhat (a very special functionalist building famous for its look) and then went back through some nice park and around beautiful buildings. We were starving due to the fact we walked through the city for a few hours and we stopped in a restaurant we found charming and had something to eat.
After lunch we went home, because we were cold and wanted to rest for a while, so we watched another film and in the evening we headed to the bar that is said to be the best bar in the Czech Republic! Honestly, I was tired and didnt feel like dressing up and going outside again, but visiting the best bar in the country was too tempting I could't resist! And because my impression from this visit was very powerful, I made a whole blog post about it and published it on my blog sooner (you can read the post right here).  We came home after midnight and I was so exhausted I went to bed right after shower.

Day 3 - leaving and eating

We woke up to a rainy day. It was our last day in Brno and we had to leave our aparment to 10 and our bus left at 2 or 3, so we packed up, left our cosy apartment and went to the city centre to get some breakfast. We ended up in a small cafe and had some coffee with a cheesecake. Outside was still raining and we had plenty of time, so we moved into a restaurant to have lunch and then straight to the bus stop. The journey was very long, so I had a nap, a coffee, read a book, chatted with sister and we came home in the evening, prepared a diner, watched TV and that was the ending of our trip.

January. It's unbelievable! Many people think that with New Year comes a new opportunity, however, I am still convinced that every day is a new chance, new beginning. Taking this into consideration I don't have any New Year's Resolutions, but I have my all time kind of 'resolutions' which in fact mean I want to live my life fully and do only things I want to do and the things that I enjoy and be grateful for every new morning, saying it shortly: I am trying to enjoy the small things in life!

Nap fix everything (and so does a good film)

So far this year I had a nap, because nap can fix everything, right? I also, for the first time in my life, launched a lampion of happiness! Well, technically not me, but my sis (I gave her one to her birthday) and she needed help, so me and mom were assisting. I also watched two new films: Passengers and Assassin's Creed. I didn't know what to expect from Passengers and it was stunning! Main characters are played by Chris Pratt and Jennifer Lawrence and the plot, scenery and alaso barteneder, all of it is great! And because I have never ever played AC, I feel like I am not the right person to make decisions about this film, since I don't know the original game series.
